Salem County Clerk
The County Clerk in the State of New Jersey is a countywide, elected Constitutional Officer who plays a vital role in local government. The County Clerk is responsible for administering a wide range of essential public services, including the filing and recording of documents related to real estate ownership and property transfers.
Additional duties include processing U.S. passport applications, assisting individuals seeking to become Notaries Public, issuing County identification cards, and recording business trade names.
The County Clerk also oversees and administers all aspects of the election process, ensuring its integrity, accessibility, and compliance with state law.
