County Photo ID’s

Salem-County-ID-card-sampleCounty Photo Identification Cards are available to all county residents between the ages of 17 and 55.

(If you are under 17 or over 55 you can receive a free ID card from the Sheriff’s Office)

Included on the ID card are your name & address, photo, date of birth, height, weight, eye & hair color, and signature. The fee for this service is $20.

To Obtain an ID Card

You must present:

  • ORIGINAL U.S. birth certificate with the name of at least one parent (mother), or a Naturalization Certification as you must be a citizen of the United States to obtain an I.D. card from our office
  • ORIGINAL Social Security Card
  • Proof of residence in Salem County (e.g. recent utility bill, voter registration, valid driver’s license, or a sworn statement from someone with Photo ID that has known the applicant at least 2 years)

ID Cards are processed between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Please note: It has been reported that some MVC offices do not accept the County ID card. It is at the MVC’s discretion to accept or deny any form of identification.
